Casey Preston produces promotional videos for corporations and arts organizations as WhiteBirch Media. He also freelances as a DP, camera op, gaffer, and location sound recordist for production companies in need of crew.

 

WhiteBirch Media primarily focuses on short form, documentary style videos for promoting products, companies, and art. The goal is to find the story and visuals that hold a viewer’s attention and draws interest. WhiteBirch Media has access to a wide amount of equipment and technical expertise and will focus on providing the client with the aesthetic qualities desired for the project.

 

In his freelance work, Casey Preston owns and operates a full variety of professional level grip, electric, audio, and video equipment. From LED’s, to HMI’s, to overheads, to multichannel wireless, he can supply the desired equipment for almost any small scale production. He is also happy to jump on any role that needs to be filled to make the production run smoothly.

 

Casey’s approach to video is influenced by his wide ranging career path. He has a strong technical and industrial mindset due to his graduate degree in chemical engineering and years working for pharmaceutical companies.  He also appreciates the creative process having worked as the artistic director for a theater company and performing as an actor and musician.  In addition, he completed a digital filmmaking program at the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts in 2011, and he has worked on everything from narrative to event to product filmmaking over the past decade.
